Winter Activities

Ax-les-Thermes ski station (20mins drive) and many other ski stations are easily reached. This region of the Pyrenees has ideal skiing for families with un crowded slopes for all levels of ability. Family ski holidays would be within everyone’s financial reach. The ski stations are virtually half the price of the more commercial resorts in the alps and when this is multiplied by lots of children, can make a lot of financial sense!

Summer Activities

There is a swimming pool and tennis courts a few minutes walk away. A swimming lake with water sports such as skiing and canoeing is within a few minutes drive where families can enjoy a relaxing day out with a picnic.

The area of Tarascon sur Ariège is well renowned for walking and climbing with the mountains on it's doorstop.

Cycling is a very popular sport in the area and the tour de France passes through Tarascon during the course of the race.

The area is famous for its natural hot spring water and baths. Therapeutic thermal treatments are available at the neighbouring town of d'Ussat les Bain. The ski resort of Ax-les-Thermes specialises in treatments for rheumatism which is twenty minutes drive away.
